A Tradition of Hospitality
A central site with a tradition of hospitality: The former inn Zum weißen Ochsen was in later times replaced by the hotel Zur Stadt London. Many famous persons like Mozart, Josef Haydn, Friedrich Nietzsche, Richard Wagner, Frédéric Chopin and Leos Janacek were among its regulars. Acquired in 1910 by a Czech cooperative, it was renamed Tschechisches Haus. For political reasons, the name was changed to Hotel Post in 1942.
Today, Hotel Post is a 3-star hotel that brings the classical style back to life with its simple elegance. The past serves as a reference, but not as a corset. Enjoy our service, modern comfort and Vienna hospitality.
