This gothic church is one of Vienna's landmarks. Romanesque in origin, its
construction began in the 12-th century.Later it was completely reconstructed in
the gothic style. The baroque altarpieces were added in the 18-th century. The
Cathedral is dedicated to St. Stephan, the first martyr of Christendom.

How to get there
It is an interesting 5 minute walk on Roten Turm street to Stephansplatz, or 1 stop
on the U1, from Schwedenplatz.
